1. Deleting Your Account Directly in the App
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the Łowik.pl mobile application by following these steps:
- Open the Łowik.pl app and go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the very bottom of the Settings screen, to the "Account Management" section.
- Select "Delete user account".
- In the confirmation dialog "Are you sure you want to delete your account?", review the notice that the operation is irreversible and tap "DELETE PERMANENTLY".
Warning: This operation is IRREVERSIBLE. All your data, catch log, photos, and notes will be permanently deleted from the Firebase cloud.
2. Alternative Deletion Method
If for any reason you no longer have access to the app (e.g., you lost your device or uninstalled the app), you can request deletion of your account and data by sending an email from the address associated with your account to: dominik-chabro@wp.pl, with the subject "Łowik.pl account deletion".
3. Scope of Deleted Data
Deleting your account permanently removes the following from our servers (Firebase Authentication and Firestore):
- account data (email address, user ID, login credentials);
- catch log entries, including photos, notes, and GPS locations;
- saved fishing gear (Gear Builder);
- settings and preferences stored in the cloud.
Data stored only locally on the device is deleted automatically when the app is uninstalled.
4. Data Retained After Account Deletion
We may be required to retain certain data for a limited period even after account deletion, where required by applicable law, in particular:
- billing records related to Premium purchases, retained by the Apple App Store, Google Play, and our provider RevenueCat Inc., in accordance with their policies and tax regulations;
- data necessary to detect abuse, fraud, or security violations, retained only for as long as necessary for that purpose.
5. Processing Time
Data is deleted from our servers without undue delay, no later than within 14 days of account deletion in the app or of receiving an email request.
